This gland produces hormones that control body functions: sleep, sexual arousal, metabolism, appetite. By influencing our body, the color can become a healer. The science of healing color is called color therapy. 

Treatment of the color used since ancient times. The peoples of ancient civilizations of Egypt, India and China have used the healing properties of color. Thus, we find documentary evidence that, for instance, Chinese doctors ancient times treated stomach ailments in yellow, and scarlet fever patients encouraged to wear red scarves.
