Meditation : Awareness of breath

How do you reach the awareness? How is it possible to look with detachment, being aware of the various emotions, urges, thoughts without their being able to disturb the quiet inside?

For me turn your attention to the flow of spontaneous breathing. After a bit 'of time is individual, but let's say weeks or months, you will see that the awareness of your breathing will be passed spontaneously to a state of consciousness more widespread, generalized. Begin to feed more confidence in yourself. You mention a rudiment that are able to assimilate until then. Never search results during the period.

My answer is based on subjective experience. No pretense of teaching, but only the desire to communicate.

The eyes can be kept open or closed or half closed. It does not matter. Do as you like, as you seem more useful. Personally, I close them.

When you become aware of being distracted resume viewing.

You do not have to sacrifice at all. In the most absolute way! Assume a comfortable position, anatomically correct. If it is impossible or difficult uses a stool with backrest.

Do not exaggerate either the duration for the simple reason that once you're tuned into the exercise, and thus with yourself, you will easily find the right concentration and how much time be reserved. In addition, a crop during the course of the day there is almost always. You can meditate perfectly well before the PC (off).

For the moment I can only reiterate this suggestion: note that efforts will do nothing but patience.

And if breathing became more and more faint until they seem almost imperceptible?

Can happen. And not just observing the breath clearly, but also by praying in silence, contemplating, or religious subjects, ... The possibilities are many. I personally am not attracted to mysticism, the way that the other party would inevitably mean that treatment, care and circumstances very different from a simple and lonely sitting meditation. In this society should favor the presence of mind as efficiency. When I found myself very contemplative moods, my teacher called me back to reality urging them to respond by walking and working consciously. There is also the possibility to continue to observe the breath going down to the smallest detail to the impulse of the mind that determines the physical movement. At these levels of practice becomes aware that attention is reflected in the clarity of perception by re-establishing good relationships between things, ourselves and the world around us, recreating balance, equidistance, a substantial relaxation due to the presence of mind and therefore not the continuing exercise.

Meditation spontaneous

Without attempting

Meditation, however it is understood, always require a stop. The camp will be mostly short interior. Research subsides, his fervor fade. Of course, being without seeking to happen spontaneously. Siddhartha Gautama Buddha "awakening" when he came to the conclusion that every effort had been made there since the ascetic relatively useless. Indeed, the very effort became the main obstacle. This is undertaken and privileges the "Middle Way". The "Way of Balance" in which the mind, which tends to be extremist, he reassures himself.
Terms

A good teacher not you ever put limits of theoretical research, specific conditions to be satisfied, except the attempt to raise the awareness in you that then guides you in the decisions of an ethical nature. In fact what is true for you is not guaranteed to work or be meaningful to others. The rules are flexible. There is a deterministic mechanism, but a good relativism. Your body, mind, what we call spirit, they are independent or the same? There are a number of reports, but even more important is the point of view. If you look at projected to the outside world is almost everything you see on. Instead, if you look at different perspective, not the reflection of the outside world on the mirror of your consciousness, but what is, for what it is, beyond the different, almost inevitable, cultural conditioning, not to label anything, without using the discursive thought except when absolutely necessary, I said, if you change your perspective you can see - at first only happens sometimes - you can see the spiritual nature inherent in any object.
Spontaneous Meditation

The achievement of a certain state of inner relaxation is the key to overcome the dichotomy and the alternating action / non-action. This may be achieved through meditation.

Yeah! ... Just the key ...

This key is found in the true state of meditative, spontaneous and natural as expressed in everyday life, actions and choices of ordinary and exceptional. This key becomes preordained choice without awareness, drive carefully to the situation, accurate and sensitive expression of the moment, freedom from unconscious programming or unconscious egoic reactions, masking a passing desire for action or purpose.

This key is the "purpose without purpose."

No need to meditate. Formal techniques of meditation are not essential but you must remain alert, loose, relaxed and yet attentive. Reserve for themselves the periods of healthy relax listening to music, watching the sea, blue sky, nature in general trying to grasp and accommodate the pace. The nice thing is that all this is already, in itself, meditation. But each seeks the phenomenal, prodigious business, excellence, perfectionism. Everyone is forgetting that harmony arises mainly from pursuing its own balance. Even those who observe the natural and spontaneous flow of the breath must not forget that along with him or grab him, but only practice (if any) to remain attentive.

The spontaneity with which we are arguing is, almost always, the natural consequence of an initial effort of awareness. The silence is its climax, the joy unmotivated completion. Meditation is spontaneous life lived consciously, presence of mind that allows the emergence of a current of serene, peaceful, yet effervescent energy. It is not, therefore, to devote time solely to themselves, to be able to carve out just the short breakers introspective, but to arrive at expanding the quiet relaxation in the routine, in rut, in the everyday.

Meditation: Effortlessness

On the other hand, the lack of effort on the availability, there are behaviors to be observed, but with powers to conquer some sacrifice, with its application, attention, understanding, etc..

An example a little 'more concrete. Even a solid body that travels into space requires an initial thrust acceleration. Only then will continue to inertia, but at first the application of a certain force, a push of a planning or motivation are essential.

How can we not have jobs does not mean to abstain from any activity, but to find ways to relax, both physically and mentally. This could happen spontaneously, but usually occurs mainly as a result of a particular employment or engagement. Do not do. But how secure the non-meditation, meditation that is as non-doing? It 'almost always essential for beginners to experiment and active involvement. Then follow, in a relatively spontaneous, a period of quiescence vigilant - rest, calm, inactivity, stillness, inertia, quiet, waiting, tranquility, surrender, acceptance, passivity - and pleasant relaxation.

Enterprising and experienced meditators, accustomed to the merger, and the application of attention, do not be discouraged by reading the above, it is a good method, it is meant to stress the commitment to overcome the impasse that the initial, sometimes principle prevents you to meditate. But once you overcome your own shyness, the Great Seal (Maha-mudra) of Tilopa, spontaneity, since the absence of effort, may prove crucial. It depends on your natural inclinations ...

In summary, inner peace, stress, challenges and desires are not polar opposites. To achieve the peace we need to relax, to "let go". But this kind of "surrender" the interior can only take place after a strain and its coronation - yet carefully, because the satisfaction of its desire is a temporary event which reiterates the game forever - or from having truly understood, ie not only intellectually, but existentially particular, that there is no entity that can or must surrender.

Work on Anapanasati

Anapana-sati This technique directs the mind greedy and ambitious, the mind that seeks and lusts, from the past or the future to the present. And the truth is in the present. Being here and now is the truth. Anapana-sati is a technique to get used to being alone with themselves.

Meditation is not something that you can "do", but encouraged. You can only create the conditions for it "happen." In fact, when it, meditation is present, there is no longer anyone to confirm this: the subject, that is the one who meditates, has become one with his experience. Has transcended its limits. He no longer needs to observe in detail the details of an event. It receives a summary? We say that it understands the essence. Its existence is no longer separate, and not contiguous, but in harmony with all that which dwells. Beyond form, color, sound, detail, becomes the conscience itself.

Since our main objective is to bring clarity, here are some notes on the techniques immediately taking advantage of the financial year as an example Anapana-sati, that is the focus on breathing. An exercise of vigilant attention and relaxed observed behavior.

Usually the attention is not a neutral act, and participation and focuses on one element at a time. During the early stages of implementation, attention is constantly focused on a specific direction, the spontaneous flow of breath. It is not, of course, the concentration, but an observation impartial and unbiased. Undulations and oscillations of the attention are always able to distract us, but in this case it is suggested to observe the very cause of distraction. It could be a minor annoyance, or a trifling thought that even without being consciously formulated interferes with the original intent, which must still go back as soon become aware of oncoming inattention.

Alfine to better coordinate the care, some teachers advised not to follow exactly the flow of breath throughout its path in your body, but to simply observe the point of contact in a specific area, such as the nostrils. Or to see expansion and contraction of the abdomen.

Later, with time and the continuation of the practice, it will happen more and more to overcome the mere perception of mechanical air flow, ie the muscles which contract and relax, to become aware of the breath itself, its intrinsic qualities.

The most significant effects of observation of the breath is in order, calm progress of its rhythm, followed by a slowdown in mind, a mastery of the mind that enables a versatile presence of mind.

Meditation

Life is a journey, a long way, to go more or less smoothly. In spite of us to end.

At the end of the journey will inevitably ourselves. In fact, at this juncture, what will never have more value? The physical goods? Dust! Culture? Fog! Affections? Smoke, maybe sweet, but still smoke!

The only "good" of course, moments before changing our dear and beloved old dress worn, will be the "true face", the original a few years ago that allowed us to be born human.

Beyond the possible hypothetical forms of expression we do not know what is actually the "original face". In this case know to know not only would not serve anything concrete, but may even be harmful and misleading.

What, then, is meditation? We could say, is the art of encounter with our true face, with ourselves. An appointment is no longer random and unwillingly, but aware. For this to happen, and to make current and almost immediate benefits of Yahweh conference, is necessary or essential to practice a technique almost meditative.

Let me explain briefly, but more would not be beneficial, a method widely disseminated and known: the focus on breathing and awareness of your breath. The how and why it works is secondary and speculative. Knowing the mechanism could in some cases even affect its validity, since they affect the practice. Fact, the mind tends spontaneously to anticipate the outcomes. As the difficulties prefigure the incentive awkwardly.
Preliminary and positions for meditation

Choose a quiet place. He wears a suit large, comfortable. Sit following common sense, without any effort in anything, according to anatomical principles correct. Try a stool, without crossing the legs. Search, however, to stand with your back straight and without much support.

Or sit on a cushion consisting alternatively a carpet or blanket folded. It would be preferable to a bench suitable. On an empty stomach. Legs crossed, in the classic lotus position (Padmasana) or simple (Sukhasana). Well balanced without hanging neither right nor left, neither forward nor backward. Keep your back very straight, upright and in a way which presents no more curves than the physiological ones, neck and head erect. Put your hands on your knees. Whether the side of the back or the palm.

Stay in the position adopted as possible. Melt the position, walk a few minutes and repeat if necessary.
Frame of mind for meditation

The propensity, the state of mind with which to undertake the technique is open to the life and breath, moment by moment, receptivity and humility.

Awakening Meditation

The aim of all meditation techniques is to achieve a quality of inner relaxation that will be natural and not to cling to identify with any thought. You have the feeling that thoughts are absent. But even that is a thought. When you leave "fall" feeling and this latest remote grip, or the further identification with the thought that there are no more thoughts, only then can we define what the tradition awakening.

Will occur the moment when the mirror of the mind will become so efficient that its reflected light will appear, in itself, illuminating. But as far as being cleaned will never shine the same glare of his, without recourse to imagination and chasing the most fatuous between the impossible dreams. Only those who understand the rhythm of existence as the natural state abandoning any mere reflection to address life as it is, will become the real masters of themselves.

We were convinced that this and that. Or to be neither this nor that. Well, meditation is being aware of both circumstances. The opposite poles are reunited. Love and hate combine to turn into compassion. And this is the awakening. See things as they are no longer subjected to identification with their moods, and as reflections of a cosmic dream draw our current reality.

So that the revival will consist in opening the eyes really. Impermanence and interdependence become concepts accessories, useful but not essential, to explain the ephemeral.

Awakening is like rincondursi the center of the wheel to observe and participate in the unfolding of human affairs without being necessarily and emotionally involved.

Awakening is to stop daydreaming passive suffering the illusions of an imagination that distorts reality according to the most absurd whims.

A real revelation. The beauty and splendor of a morning made. The glow of a real sunset. Awakening is the twilight of all identifications to allow the rise and rise of eternal dawn. The splendor and brightness of an aurora accomplished that unfolds its wings with joy wherever he turns his keen eye and attentive. The eye of vision that opens to receive the mystery of absence.
What is "beyond the mind, silence, no-mind", seems to be the manifestation of a transcendent principle. It may be better defined as "absence of mind."

However never fight against your mind. It is part of the universal mind. And when you relax, accept it for what it is, with all its strengths and weaknesses. Not dispute, if anything shifts the focus from external objects, like clouds that obscure your vision perspective, the sharp inner sky.
Reflections

Awakening and no longer be identified with the ego unconsciously, to recognize its existential roots, able to provide the innumerable and wonderful resources that life offers us. Awareness is an ongoing event, still alive, which is not equivalent to a final achievement, but to a perpetual process.

Knowledge of the origin of the divine essence as free from the trappings of crumbling cultural rhetoric, and the horrible social prejudices. But if the ego, that demon which affirms the superiority of one culture over another, one religious tradition over another, will not be seen and understood, there is good reason to regret that the thousand flowers of reciprocity and tolerance.

As the fragrance that emanates from the natural rectitude of the many historical Buddha that even before they were to convert the world it conquered.

As the strands of grass that while erika overwhelmed by the most furious winds bend with loving gentleness well aware that the impetus will nevertheless calm, and to calm the violence.

Awakening is the courage of the emergency that becomes way of life.
Conclusion

What freedom? And 'increasingly living in the here and now, without the constant fear projected by the mind.
This involves the acceptance of what is, the state of things exactly as they are. And even the acceptance of our non-acceptance.
Embraced, non-judgmental, our awareness in wider and wider areas of silent consciousness, self-centered attachment may still appear, but only to dissolve spontaneously, like a wisp of smoke in the wind.

Work on the techniques of meditation

It seems that to many is still unclear what meditation is what you are, not what you do. So do not confondiamola with any technique devised to aid and that in the early stages seem, for the most relaxing ways. Since beginners are hardly able to reach that particular type of relaxation in a lucid and direct, this is replaced by un'escamotage, technique.

The techniques of meditation are tricks to bring attention to themselves and to the present moment. Meditation is an experience of openness. When meditating must remain open to experience, possible. Not necessarily because that is expected to happen consciously or unconsciously prefigured dreamed, longed, pleaded, desirable.

Techniques of meditation should be explained only by those who have experienced directly. The main purpose, as well as describe as faithfully as possible the various circumstances which must presumably encounter, is to illustrate with appropriate terms and relevant. Expressions which not only makes the idea of real prospects, but which correspond to the common understanding. To insist on this point is far from trivial. Distortions of interpretation which can occur are endless.

Why meditate? Meditation as a search for truth, or truths about meditation? The Truth is in the present. Chasing the truth is to look for the present moment. However look for is an asset. As such it is outward-looking and involves vitality, dynamism and versatility. But when the search converges on a single goal, the moment you create a very specific situation. The energies of attention routinely used to interact with the outside world will be mobilized to explore the inner. All techniques of meditation are tricks to bring the mind from the past or the future to the present.

Just when we committed or involved in seeking a spiritual dimension and truth, she escapes and becomes a mundane object. On the contrary, be here and now present for your presentation, is truth, freedom, nirvana.
A question

The techniques of meditation are ways to remove barriers and open doors in the light of Truth. But what are these barriers? The first is the thought, multiple levels of thoughts. Here's an example of a possible misunderstanding.

Question
I have read, the speech of the Buddha on the practice of teacher awareness of the breath. My question is simple, when I meditate and directs attention to the breath, I have to consciously make the concept: "now I'm breathing out," now I am breathing "? I am not sure if my attention must be devoid of linguistic concepts. I did not understand, you could help me on this? There would be very grateful.

Answer
First, pay attention to the physical location of a moment that you take to meditation. Sit properly and spine very straight. Giving consideration to the mechanical components of the breath. For example, the abdomen is lifted or tents, etc..

Do not describe in detail the process because you should find out for yourself. If you do not dwell I'd simply follow my curiosity losing that small illustrations that help you stay interested and awake. However note that there is nothing to grab, edit, address. This is just to understand what happens spontaneously.

Later, with time, days, weeks, months, you should proceed by attention to the physical component of the flow of breath or dynamic factor, to the perception of breathing itself. So no more tangible sense of the flow of air, its freshness, vitality and rejuvenated you send helps to brighten, but a quality that you'll be able to identify themselves as soon as your meditation becomes pure serenity, calm , clarity, transparency, clarity.

What is this? Again, if you do not say it would not help. On the other hand, in the books is already much more than you have set out so quickly. Only two recommendations. Perform these exercises exclusively if they Trai concrete benefits. Tralasciali Otherwise why not be generally necessary.

Meditation is above life, presence of mind, awareness, not technical. Devotes at least the same amount of time spent on the exercise of meditation to carry out a suitable and adequate physical activity.

Hello, Thank you for the question. Typically these responses re-use as articles or otherwise.

Of course I have not reported the above description to illustrate a specific technique, how to clarify the difference between thinking in a particular circumstance and live it. A bill would, for example, imagine or foreshadow a promising new beautiful sunrise, a very different, however, ritrovarcisi inside.

The techniques of meditation are real devices that are lived and not thought about.
Accolades

It is not good distinction between mind and body. In reality there is only the mind-body entity. An organic unity. With meditation you try to be more careful and therefore more aware, both to themselves and to others. The difference between a human being, an animal, a plant, a rock, it's just a question of more or less consciously. As for the practice itself can be chosen. Someone thinks it is unnecessary to take a particular stance or engage in a certain year, but so, in my opinion, everything becomes more difficult. And there is, however, who adopt a technique.
Thought

Indeed, those engaging in the practice of a technique never stops to think, is obvious. Even the feelings of inner peace, silence, which occur during meditation, are forms of thought. As the mirror of the mind can be cleansed of every speck of dust so that it is sharp and clear and reflects its objects without being scratched or affected, experiencing calm and serenity, it will still be a normal perceptual activity.

However, you can suspend analysis, labeling or interpretation of every single detail. During exercise specific meditation thoughts with some thin out gradually. One who meditates regularly fails to receive a summary of the general circumstances and respond in real need and not so redundant. That sense of partnership that eventually detached comes not only understanding of what is, or passive acceptance, receptivity, as real efficiency. You leave the superfluity for the essentials. All.
Effects

The meditator expert from becoming involved is less than by others from their thoughts. Not identified as before. Do not submit passively. However, the failure to identify not mean that it will remain cold and insensitive, quite the contrary. Not find themselves victims of their own or another's fickleness. Resentment, hatred, all the so-called negative emotions did not nothing to him. Obviously get, but in the distance. As if you do not really concern them. Possessiveness, attachments, passions, love, are transformed into sharing, sense of interdependence, joy and kindness. On the other hand, the ego you duck, the unconscious fears vanish and with them the mere need of false certainties that can not certainties. Certainly, love is always there. And it will be a thousand times more vivid because the experienced meditator becomes finally able to share himself without any fear of being overwhelmed, both by friendly people that unforeseen circumstances.
Conclusion

I expatiated a bit 'techniques such as tricks that may or may not adapt to different types of people. Everyone will find the most suitable one that meets its current needs. It would be a grave mistake to believe that the techniques are absolute values of reference.

How to end without a general advice that is valid for almost all the meditative approach, ie for most of the techniques? Right now I do not know what will happen in a moment, let alone beyond. Right now I live moment to moment. Enjoy, but not m'identifico. Now I do not need to plan, I just be careful ...

I hope I have been clear enough. Sometimes I use metaphors, sometimes I try to use language to induce an understanding otherwise impossible.

The article is not yet finished, read the rest as soon as possible and then describe some of the most interesting techniques of meditation. On the other hand this site is all yours.

Yoga for Women

God created man and woman that they are as equal partners shared the hardships and rewards of life, its joys and sorrows. If you compare life with a chariot, a man and a woman - two of its wheels. The material and spiritual duties equally borne by men and women. Both want to have good health, peace of mind and lead a balanced life.

Yoga is favorable for both men and women. Women need yoga, even more than men, as nature left them with more responsibility, than men. The art of yoga is as old as the Vedas. When we read stories of those times, we have the impression that in many areas women are superior to men. None other than the goddess Parvati, the first suffered the science of yoga, catalysed the god Shiva to teach her.

Maitreya, the wife of the great yogi and philosopher Yajnavalkya reached freedom of spirit through yoga. This art has taught her husband, whose teachings in the book Yogayadzhnyavalkya. In a well-known episode from the Ramayana describes Rama's parting with relatives when he was exiled for 14 years and sent to live in the woods. Kausala His mother, stricken with grief, she knew that no one blessing, uttered with tears in their eyes, will not bring good luck. In order to achieve self-control, she became involved in asanas and pranayama, and only then, when recovered from the shock, and gained peace of mind, was for Rama and blessed him.

In the Vedic period to women treated with great respect. Manu Smriti says about them as goddesses.

Where women are respected, there live the gods.
Where they are neglected, all acts are futile.

In the Vedic period there have been cases where women were subjected to initiation ceremonies, they study the Vedas in Gurukul (house master) and trained in various arts such as wrestling, archery, yoga, music and drama. Over time, the situation of women in society became more and more secondary and its freedom curtailed, even if it is respected as a mother and her pinned some public duties. It was seen as the weaker sex and thus deprived of social status, privileges that she enjoyed in the Vedic era. She was denied the Gurukul and the ceremony of initiation. She was denied access to the study of philosophy, science, arts and yoga, so that its position has deteriorated further.

The later history of India is full of reports of the battles with the invaders who invaded from the north-west. Indian women were severely affected by their social insecurity. Despite this, some women Yogini yoga system successfully spreading across India: for example, Lall, holy to the XIV. from Kashmir, and the holy Bahinabay preached yoga and meditation, Sharada Devi, wife of Ramakrishna Paramahamsa, was versed in yoga and pranayama,

The path to yoga is open to all regardless of race, caste, creed and gender. Everyone can attain liberation through yoga!

Nowadays, the situation of women has improved significantly compared with the periods of smrti, Puranas, and even the later stories. Her intelligence, insight and creative force found room for a more complete expression. On stage performer, she lives many roles - daughter, sister, wife, mother and friend. In all these roles a woman must be at altitude. In Samkhya yoga woman compared with Prakriti (nature). As in nature, it must always be active. Only under this condition, it succeeds in life and her house is filled with joy. Wonder Kalidasa displays a woman in the role of life-giving spark in the family. This same engine is a spark of spiritual uplift of society.

Yoga - Pearl for Women

"Nature intended women to the top of his creation", - wrote John Ruskin. This is evidenced by her beauty and grace, and gentleness of nature. However, it has a strength of character and endurance. Woman affectionate, gentle and flexible, her movements are easy and graceful, in contrast to the movements of a man with his strong, rough and tough body. Yoga requires incredible flexibility, and it seems that the Creator gave preference to the woman, making her body fit and how to set up for yoga.

The woman is very different from a man his height and the Constitution. The muscles of her soft and light in comparison with coarse, large and heavy muscles of men. Also, her bone system is not as large as a man. A woman able to endure physical stress and mental load in a much greater extent than men, but not through physical strength or endurance, but because of the inherent nature of its characteristics.

In addition, the nature of her responsible for the reproduction of kind. The welfare of the nation and the health of future generations depend on the physical and mental health of women. A careful study of the peculiarities that distinguish women from men, or rather, her body and exposed to changes of physiological functions and emotional states, found that if she perceives asanas and pranayama as part of their lifestyle, they become more meaningful and helpful for us. Yoga helps woman in her responsibilities and in the preservation of face color, charm and femininity. After learning yoga, a woman no longer needs in cosmetics, as well as proper blood circulation makes her skin glow. It is no exaggeration to say that the practice of yoga can help with all conditions and circumstances of her life.

Yoga - the ideal type of exercise for women. In the chapter on anatomy in the Charaka Samhita and Sushruta Samhita Ayurveda describes the exercises, which may through action and movement lead to good results. In comments to him says that if properly performed, they attach to the body of lightness, efficiency, resistance to diseases and disorders caused by imbalance of three organic liquids. They stimulate the harmonious functioning of the respiratory, circulatory, digestive, nervous, glandular, urinary and excretory systems. The texts contained a warning that improper exercises cause lethargy, exhaustion, vomiting, dysfunction of internal organs, skin dryness, internal bleeding, cough, fever and other disorders.

Asanas helps to relieve fatigue, pain and suffering. They help not only unhealthy to recover, but healthy and stay healthy.

In yoga there is a special gift for the women engaged in athletic and sports. Asana can help to correct the irregular movement of muscles, causing congestion and stretching of ligaments. They eliminate the pressure and tension and give the whole system of speed, flexibility, strength, endurance and coordination. If athletes, men and women who have exhausted their strength, they can easily restore their energy through asanas. Thanks Asanas can also increase the amplitude of movements.

Yoga for Women: the role of women in society

In addition to these traditional roles of women in this age of global competition have to play some additional roles: doctor, lawyer, politician, teacher - and with them she copes well. However, when the daily struggle saps even the upper limits of its endurance, physical and mental fatigue lead to a weakening of its natural interest in family and children, and then to the indifference and disappointment.

The organism is known, must pass through all four stages of its development:
childhood, adolescence, middle age and old age. At all four stages of changes occur in the psyche, and each person is faced with internal problems and internal conflicts. This leads to dysfunction of physical and mental functions, and the woman (and men) have spent a lot of energy to achieve emotional balance during transition periods.

Maternity - women's purpose. This is not a simple physical condition, and the state of the divine. Motherhood adorns its sacred attributes such as love, selflessness, loyalty, tolerance, kindness and hard work. For her, the highest religion - it Svadharma. These properties are deeply embedded in the nature of women. Sometimes, being suppressed by the difficulties of existence, it is because of their characteristics is somewhat servile, as it can not cope with lots of responsibilities entrusted to it by nature. Sometimes she wants freedom and intellectual take-off, but religious beliefs hinder her and return her sense of duty. Gita to teach women to perform all its duties without expecting a reward. The endless struggle of women and mothers associated with labor and responsibility, taught her sensibly perceived inconsistency of the world, without losing composure.

All this - the role of mother, wife, sister and friend - a woman is given a heavy price, both in physical and mental terms. Stabilization of the physical and mental states achieved through the asanas and pranayama. In their performance - her salvation.

Recommendations for Classes Hatha Yoga

The main recommendation to engage in hatha yoga - the regularity and regularity of practice!

Observe moderation in hatha yoga, especially at the initial stage, when more difficult to adequately assess their strength and capabilities. Most of the people of our time is accustomed to consumer relationships by type of purchase things in the supermarket: if you wanted, and immediately purchased. With Hatha yoga is not taking place, so many, starting (and in fact have not started), quickly "cool down", referring to the habits of ordinary life - trends.

Need to start by learning hatha yoga, listen to your body, to show interest in what actually happens in your life measuring what and how, and under the influence of something changes, then there must be sincere keenness to him and everything that surrounds you without needing to clean mechanics and technology.

It is very important in connection with the peculiarities of hatha yoga classes in our climate, because the body sometimes quite violently react to seasonal changes (changes in the light of day, etc.), and if you do not feel at the moment, it does not mean that do not. For example, from observations on Hatha yoga studies found that stretching the muscles is the best in the spring - early summer, and the power asanas better mastered and worked through the winter, etc.

The issue boils down, ultimately to the awakening of genuine interest to themselves and the world, the desire to know its own essence when practicing hatha yoga, to eventually come to believe the need to change and change, and urgent, because life as we know, is short, despite sometimes seeming boredom stretching days.
On the other hand, we must clearly understand that the sincerity of your intentions in the classroom hatha yoga plays an important role. After all, in the way of yoga should be ready for difficult trials and disappointments.

Not for nothing because yoga, like love, compared with fire, indeed, it magically helps us to rise to become stronger, to feel the joy of life, but at the same time, she ruthlessly burn all our imperfections. Once we understand that all efforts in practicing yoga, no matter how desperate and difficult as they are, not in vain, and rewarded with a vengeance.

Hatha Yoga - is not a sport and flexibility

The main and fundamental difference between hatha yoga from the sport in that, although this work with the physical body, she focuses on consciousness. Speaking simplistically, it is composed of three main components: the specific physical exercises - "asanas," breathing exercises - pranayam, working with consciousness in the form of concentration - meditation techniques. From the perspective of modern medicine hatha yoga can be called a "psycho-physical gymnastics.

Hatha yoga is considering the physical human body only as a tool to work with the mind and the harmony of the internal and external health. Therefore, during training a person must necessarily relax, put aside all extraneous thoughts and focus only on his own body and the processes occurring within it.

In the system of hatha yoga is a great attention is paid to health, and thus the beauty of the body. Many exercises in the lodge aims at cleansing and strengthening, increase its flexibility by using specially selected sequences of asanas (poses). When performing asanas all the attention is focused practitioner within the body. But the practice of hatha yoga - is not just relaxation or stress a particular muscle group to properly perform the exercises, but it is primarily active work with the internal world.

What is Hathy Yoga?

Hatha yoga - an ancient Indian system of keeping the body in optimal physical condition. The literal translation of the word Hatha - the power, fury, violence, the need, effort. And ha - the sun, tha - moon, it is an alliance of the sun and moon, activity and relaxation. The original purpose of hatha yoga is to bring the body into a state of full health, so that the body was not a burden of spiritual development. The practice of hatha yoga is mainly in the performance of asanas, static postures.

Particular attention is paid to health, flexibility and tone of the spine. A unique feature of hatha yoga exercises are stimulating hormonal glands and performing massage the internal organs. Stimulation of the hormonal system helps maintain balanced emotions and promotes a more optimistic attitude towards life. In addition to physical exercises, yoga lodge includes methods for purification of the internal organs and establishes the principles of proper nutrition.

Hatha yoga - is work with the consciousness through the body. Hatha yoga classes to prevent many diseases and contributes to getting rid of existing ones. Exercises Hatha Yoga strengthen the body and create a feeling of joy of life. Hatha yoga sharpens the mind and help concentration, allows control of all their actions and expressions, starting with the body and ending with the full control of consciousness.

Yoga Nidra and Susceptibility

Everyday life blunts the susceptibility for most people, but Yoga Nidra expands and deepens this susceptibility. Just as the molten iron can be given any shape, and the molten Yoga Nidra mind can change in a constructive way, if it burned his complexes and opaseneiya. This also deals with Yoga Nidra. For example, if I call something right or wrong, you can agree with me or not, and this will be your only rational solution, not more, for a single agreement is not a willful act of embodying my statement in your daily life. What are the obstacles?

There are many reasons why it is so difficult to practically implement our ideas. All the lofty ideals of life should not remain on paper only the scriptures - they should live together with us, if they are true. Yoga Nidra enables us at last to touch the mystery of our spiritual identity, which is responsible for everything we think and do. Through Yoga Nidra, we can begin to act in the name of those ideals in which we believe. I once met a professional thief and a hardened criminal. After a lengthy conversation with him I, I thought, convinced him that stealing is not good. He even called himself a sinner. And I thought it a miracle that I drew it on the right path.

Five years later, I returned to his village and found that he is still engaged in their craft. Why? Because he agreed with me that stealing is bad on the level of sound mind, not unconscious. I decided to stay in this country for another six months to spend in school classes in Yoga Nidra with teachers and children. Interestingly, the thief also attended my classes and soon ceased to steal. This example illustrates that a rational persuasion is small, because it is only one aspect of human consciousness. Each of us has their own idea about what is good and what is bad, but not all follow these ideas.

Need to develop a sensitivity to everything, what we encounter. This is possible only when the stimuli were removed and the mind begins to calm down. When a well-balanced mind is faced with a stimulus, consciousness is not distorted, and sends people the best way. If a person entered into a state of receptivity, practicing Yoga Nidra, you can tell him about his shortcomings, suggesting to him the positive installation. If its sensitivity reached its climax, he will have to listen and obey, because of his rational mind has lost its activity in the same proportion. Understand human nature Before practice Yoga Nidra, pursuing a goal, try to understand the nature of the person you are going to re-educate or your practice can cause his loathing.

Despite the fact that you offer people great and lofty ideas during a session of Yoga Nidra, a person can not follow them. It happens that someone is inside us like rebels against the established rules, procedures and laws. This is because the idea stuck in our minds, contrary to our true nature. Each of us has a personal identity of nature, which is impossible and unnecessary to remove. Yogis call this the nature of "svabhava", ie innate nature. We can change habits, religious habits, but not human nature, which accompanies man through his whole life, being the main cause of all his achievements and mistakes.

To understand the nature, it is necessary to study the spontaneous and not a rational human behavior. But adults are so overloaded with different concepts and so-called rules, that their behavior is rarely a natural and spontaneous. Not so children who are almost always naturally and easily included in the state of Yoga Nidra, extracting maximum benefit from it ...

Yoga Nidra and Nonviolence

Yoga Nidra is a tantric practice, and according to tantric laws must evolve spontaneously. You should not fight with their habits and complexes and to eliminate its nature, because Such actions only form the inner discomfort and hostility. No wonder many people are trying to adjust themselves with the help of various denominations, become aggressive schizophrenics ... Even modern psychology has grown up so much, which gives us: "If you have weaknesses, not to push them forcibly, because they do not eliminate hatred."

What to do? If you want a tree or fruit, is enough to cut off its branches? Bays its root! In other words, to eliminate the defects, you must get closer to the root of the mind, ie to the subconscious and Yoga Nidra can provide you this service. Man is weak and because he was so clinging to their branches and leaves (the feelings and intelligence), but as soon as he opened the gates to the subconscious, trusting in Yoga Nidra, he finds himself at the door of creativity.

Wonder in Indian mythology, a symbol of Yoga Nidra is the Lord Narayana, reclining on the ocean of milk. It lies on a gigantic snake with a large number of hoods, and the beautiful Lakshmi, massages his feet, while from the navel of Narayana sprouts a lotus flower, which sits in the pericarp Lord Brahma, the symbol of the subconscious. Lord Narayana - it's your trust, the snake - your blanket and your floor - is the ocean of milk. When practicing Yoga Nidra, you should maximize relax and not deal with concentration. If you really follow the instructions of a man who manages your Yoga Nidra, before you open the gates to update your identity, but if you miss at least a few instructions, it will not happen. All you need to do - follow the instructions to vote.

Yoga Nidra

The practice of Yoga Nidra

Yoga Nidra - a twilight state of mind between waking and sleeping. Comprehending science of Yoga Nidra, you will gradually penetrate into the hidden nature of your mind and dismissed by many mental strata infringing your real Ya is significant that in normal circumstances waking conscious mind is activated, but when you relax, awaken the subconscious and unconscious areas of your mind, providing you the opportunity to influence the roots of the disease, systems and fears that bear fruit in the conscious mind.

It is these areas of your mind are the true reserves of your power. In fact, a very simple technique of Yoga Nidra can penetrate into the so-called "Dead" zone of consciousness. The subconscious mind - a diligent student and an executive, who immediately comply with any orders. Regularly practicing Yoga Nidra, you learn to control the subconscious mind, for which obediently follow and your conscious, rational mind.

Yoga Nidra and shavasana

Recommendations for the practice of Yoga Nidra and Shavasana

In the morning, after the practice of asanas, you can listen Shavasana. In the middle of the day, when it is felt mild fatigue, for example, after work or school, you can listen to Yoga Nidra. It is advisable to listen to Yoga Nidra every day one at a time. If relaxation does not go head does not turn off during the entire record nidra, you can practice and two days on a daily basis.

Yoga Nidra - a panacea for the everyday stress, nervousness and sleeplessness. Half an hour of quality practice of yoga nidra is equivalent to the usual 2 hours of sleep! In this practice, no effort has not. All you want - it aside for a 20 minute time to lie down on a flat hard surface without a pillow (for example, on the floor), heat to escape, to hide blindfold (if you are a day) and follow the instructions of the speaker.

Five reasons of causing pain

Patanjali lists five reasons citta Vritti, causing pain (flare), namely:

1. Avidya (ignorance or lack thereof);
2. Asmita (sense of individuality, isolating human and distinguishes him from the group. It is a physical, mental, intellectual or emotional);
3. Para (affection or passion);
4. Dvesha (dislike or disgust);
5. Abhinivesha (zest for life, the instinctive attachment to the earthly life and carnal pleasures, fear of being cut off from their death).

These reasons are suffering in the depths of the mind Sadhakas (worshiper, seeker of truth). They are like icebergs of the polar seas, in which visible only the upper part. They must be hard to control and eradicate, otherwise the rest will not. Yogi learns to forget the past and not worry about the future. He lives in an eternal present.

As the breeze stirs the surface of the lake, distorting the image reflected in it, and citta Vritti violate the peace of mind. Still waters of the lake reflect the beauty around him. When the mind is stopped, it reflects the beauty Ya Yogi stops your mind with constant diligence and release from desire. Eight stages of Yoga teach him how to achieve this.

While the Shiva Samhita and Hatha Yoga Pradipika referred to the possible timing of success, Patanjali never defines how much time is required that the individual soul has achieved unity with the Divine Universal Soul. He said that the mind makes a serene and calm Abhyasa (incessant and persistent practice) and Vairagya (freedom from desires). Abhyasa he defines as a long sustained effort, carried out with devotion, which creates a strong foundation.

Coordinating and focusing his body, senses, mind, reason, and I, a man reaches the awards - inner peace - and has the desire to connect his soul with the Creator. The main adventure in life - this is his return to the Creator.

To achieve the goal, he needs a well-developed and functioning coordinating body, senses, mind, intellect and Y. If his efforts are not coordinated, a person will fail. In the third chapter (the Valley) the first part of "Katha Upanishad" God of death Yama explains that yoga Nachiketa seeker of truth, telling a parable about a man on a chariot.

"Know the Atman (I) as the Lord in a chariot, the mind - as the charioteer and the mind - as the reins. Feelings, they say it's horses, and the object of their desires-pasture. Wise men call I am in unity with the senses and mind Bhoktrom (those who enjoys). Unable to discern never would rule over his mind, his feelings like a skittish horse. Able to distinguish always controls his mind, his feelings are like an obedient horse. Unable to discern become careless, even the unclean, and he does not reach the goal, passing from one body to another. ability to discern is attentive and always pure, he reaches the goal and is born again. The man who is able to discern charioteer, ruling the mind reaches the end of the road - the supreme abode of eternal Spirit.

Practice Yoga in a meditative Kljuch

In the sixth chapter of the Bhagavad Gita, the most authoritative source on the philosophy of yoga, Sri Krishna explains to Arjuna the importance of yoga as liberation from suffering and sorrow. It says:

"When the thoughts flow, curbed,
resides only in the Atman, Partha,
when her husband reassured desire - he was then called "yogi."

When the yogi, the thought under control,
itself strengthens yoga
He is like a candle, whose flame
does not fluctuate in a place without wind.

Where the idea of exercise in yoga
shut down, freezes,
where there is joy in the Atman
contemplates atman atman --

For there he learns that happiness
anything beyond the senses, one thought is available,
supraliminal, standing in which
he will not depart from the truth, --

staying there is not embarrassed
even the most severe grief;
in fact, reaching the goal does not claim he
something higher, better meet.

Condition this is yoga,
that opens the shackles of sorrows. "
( "Bhagavad Gita", VI, 18-23.) *

In the Katha Upanishad yoga is described as: "When feelings calm down, when the mind is at rest, when the intellect does not fluctuate, then, as the sages say, reached the highest stage. This constant control over the senses and mind is called yoga. Are over him freed from delusions."

Sage Patanjali (who lived around the second century BC, the founder of the school of Yoga in India), describes yoga as citta Vritti Nirodha "that can be translated as" deterrence (Nirodha) oscillations (Vritti) mind (citta), or as "suppression (Nirodhi) fluctuations (Vritti) consciousness (citta)". The word "citta 'means mind in general or collective sense, and includes three categories: (a) the mind (manas, ie, the individual mind that has spososobnostyami and opportunities of attention, selection and rejection, is a vacillating, indecisive piece of mind), (b ) mind or intellect (buddhi, ie the state decision, finding differences between subjects) and (c) ego (Ahamkara, literally "create itself", ie the state of approval: "I know").

Happy is the man who knows how to through their insight and wisdom to distinguish the real from the unreal, the eternal from the transitory and the good of the pleasant. Twice blessed is he who knows true love and can love all God's creation. Thrice blessed is he who works selflessly for the benefit of others with love in my heart. He who combines in his mortal body of knowledge, love and dedication, holy, and to him are the pilgrims, as a confluence of the rivers Ganges, Jamuna and Saraswati. Who saw him will find peace of mind and cleared.

Um - the king of the senses. The winner your mind, feelings, passions, thoughts and mind - the king over the people. He is worthy of Raja Yoga, the royal union with the Universal Spirit. He found inner light.

Tips from Yoga and Ayurveda

How to keep stressed skin from aging and transformed into healthy, radiant skin.
Do you know the proverb: Up to 40 you wear the face that you got from his parents and from 40, the face that has given your life. It is a truth lies, and which is often a good news for all those who stress-reducing measures, such as yoga have made a part of everyday life. Yoga asanas nourish not only the internal organs, but they also benefit the health and the complexion of the skin. But what can we do about yoga out yet to make it appear healthy aging skin?

"Our faces and our facial skin are the physical representation of everything we think and do - an unerring mirror of the soul observes," the Indian Pratima Raichur, author of "Real beauty comes from within," (Droemer / Knaur). "If you want to change your appearance, you must first change the thoughts, feelings and habits, from which stem from the stress and aging."

The good news are that we have a considerable influence on looking like our largest organ in the long run and will work. If we live a life under constant pressure, poor diet and too little sleep, then the stress, these habits contribute to the body, and finally transferred to our skin. On the other hand, our skin will age gracefully and with dignity, if we learn to empathize with the body's needs and adopting a healthy lifestyle.

According to Ayurveda is a major factor for the deterioration of the skin that we ignore the needs of our individual body type. Each of us is born with a special mind-body constitution, which is dominated by the respective proportions of the three doshas - vata, pitta and kapha characterized - in the body. Each of the three body types, faces, each with different challenges and different ages. The first step in maintaining a healthy skin, then, is to focus on the needs of our specific attention to the constitution.

Those predominance of vata dosha, Vata qualities are reflected in their psyche and physique. They tend to be lighter stature, with thin, frizzy and dry hair, as well as fine, delicate skin, with a tendency towards dryness, premature wrinkles and dull, lackluster appearance.

If vata predominant in your body, they should be your Schönheitsambition focus mainly on the moistening and nutrition - both internally and externally. Drink at least eight glasses of water daily. Get used to a diet of warm, sweet and oily food that appears. Fresh fruits and vegetables are also very helpful, but you never eat them cold.

Pitta types have very sensitive skin. That is why people tend to wrinkle more of this body type, age spots and freckles due to sun exposure. Pittas also react extremely sensitive to chemicals in personal hygiene and cosmetic products, which then can cause rashes or other reactions.

If you are a pitta type, then you take extra care to use only 100% natural health and cosmetics without preservatives, chemical derivatives, or artificial fragrances. You should also avoid direct sunlight and satisfy your pitta by maintaining regular eating habits, eat lots of fruits and süßsaftige avoid scharfgewürzte food.

Kapha types tend to slow aging, compared to the other two body types. Their skin is thicker and therefore less vulnerable to wrinkles. The main problem for Kapha people is their low digestive power, which often leads to the accumulation of ama, or toxic waste materials in the body. And this can affect the allocation of nutrients to the skin and create oily, rough, dull skin with enlarged pores.

Kapha types should be used to insist on a regular facial skin detoxification and this natural cleaning pads and masks. Practice yoga on a regular basis, because this is a great way to detoxify, while acting contrary to the kapha tendency to lethargy. Avoid heavy, cold and sweet food, since that is indigestible, and, as mentioned, tends to leave toxic waste in your body. It would be useful for you, you are held at regular intervals for several days to a detoxification diet.

Once you have become one of the needs of your individual skin thoughts, it's time to look more closely at the stress in your life - both the stress in your environment as well as the stress in daily life. "Stress is a major cause for the deterioration of the skin and premature aging," says Dr. Rama Mishra, one of the experts in the field of Ayurvedic body care. "He takes effect on the balance of the doshas and to the delicate process of transformation of nutrients to body cells and also to skin cells.

What do you too, to reduce stress - it will reward you not only with more beauty, but also enhance your health and vitality. "

Many of the lesions, which we regard as normal expression of aging, such as some wrinkles, brown spots, or pigment changes caused by stress factors of the environment, and therefore are actually preventable. Air pollution, sunlight, alcohol, cigarette smoke (also known as passive smoking) and chemicals in cosmetics such as in the water all attack the skin.

While the steps to avoid these negative influences are obviously relatively easy to perform, which can deal with the daily stress to be something more complicated. If the body is under stress, it produces a number of stress hormones - a rational response to short-term stress situations, but harmful if it lasts longer. Hormonal changes can cause a number of specific skin problems such as hair loss, acne, thinning of the skin, itching, excessive sweating, premature wrinkles and skin diseases such as psoriasis, hives, and shingles.

"The language of hormones," says Raichur, "the skin and the immune system provided exactly what we think and feel in every moment, and they reflect our thoughts reflected by their corresponding functions."

Prolonged stress is visible in several long-term changes in the skin and hair. The body is vital nutrients from the skin to organs like heart, brain and lung umdirigieren; a process that gradually the skin that lacks nutrition, they actually needed.

Extended periods of stress also consider slowing down the metabolic processes affected, and the renewal of skin cells, which makes the skin appear dull and gray. Stress causes them upset the fluid balance in the body and leaves the skin relaxed and clean out. In addition, a longer-term stress response increases the production of free radicals, which in turn hamper vital cell structures and functions of the skin and damage.

Such damage by free radicals are manifested not only in our appearance, structure, they also increase the risk of a gradual deterioration of body functions and, thus preparing the ground for a number of chronic diseases, from heart disease to cancer, the auto-immune deficiency and arthritis.

One of the biggest promise is that you can give yourself the benefit of stress reduction, that you perform your yoga exercises regularly. Yoga postures induce deep relaxation and help you avoid fatigue and tension. Deep breathing normalizes blood pressure and freed from those tensions, which are for head and back pain, insomnia and stomach pains responsible.

Meditation gives you an extra bonus skin care. For deep relaxation, which occurs often during meditation, supports the balancing of several sub-doshas of Vata, which are participants in the bloodstream. The skin of longtime meditators often develops a special glow and shine.

The key question for you is how the way you find appropriate meditation and how to perform this then ever! A good teacher can make a big difference, as he answers your questions and help in overcoming your initial difficulties.

Put thus diminish for a personal body and skin care program found that matches your Ayurvedic constitution; do this, the effect of environmental factors on your skin - and you will enjoy an exterior blasting, which is a reflection of your inner balance and your overall well-being

The Science of Yoga

The science of yoga is always devoted to the physical, mental and spiritual health of humanity. For a long time but people have misunderstood the east and west yoga as a science of the occult, mysticism, the black magic, witchcraft, and many have assigned it to the religious dimension of life. Because of this erroneous interpretation Yoga remained outside the realm of scientific research and investigation and could not be integrated into the mainstream of human life.

Over the past hundred and fifty years is the human being physically, mentally and emotionally from the healthy and stable track, get out of balance. As a result, he learned the narrowness and ignorance, both of his utter dependence on further discoveries of medical science as its own. Now he has begun to look for a science that can give him at various stages of his life, health, serenity and inner harmony.

The World Health Organization knows the importance of the spiritual side of man, when health as "physical, mental, emotional, moral and spiritual well-being" defined.

For humanity Yoga is not new, it existed in all ages. But there were phases in which this science fell into oblivion. In India, however, the universal science of yoga was even during the dark period that raises the most degenerate spiritual traditions protected, and preserved.

In this century, the yoga again came out of India to alleviate the suffering of mankind. It was revived by virtue of the intense effort and compassion of the yogis and sanyasis of India as the science of spirituality and integral personality development. The yogic science is freed from the grip of religious dogma and is now recognized throughout the world as an independent science. It serves the health of all humanity, not just one specific religion or nation.

The traditional meaning of the word yoga is "union", the Union of jivatma or the individual soul with Paramatma, the cosmic soul. Yoga means the spiritual science that leads to the recognition and realization of this association. But in practical concrete context is yoga science, which leads to a balanced, harmonious and integral personal growth.

There is no aspect of human existence or human assets that are not covered are the yogic science. Yoga is a science of "self-culture" and the "self-development." With the help of various systematic techniques and disciplines that are applied to physical, mental and emotional level, does yoga in all areas of our being - whether gross, subtle or causal - a harmonious balance.

In the Bhagavad Gita, Krishna explains to Arjuna: ... samatvam yoga uchyate - "... balance, balance and harmony in every situation, whether favorable or unfavorable, this is known as yoga." Yoga also presents itself as the science of right living and points the way to fulfill the higher purpose of life, which can only be done through the acquisition of perfection in progressive steps. Shortly summed - Yoga is the science that helps us to consciously perceive the true life, and guarantees to us at all levels of health.

It creates a harmonious balance, inwardly and outwardly, so that we can remain indifferent to all the highs and lows of life with praise and insult, as if success and failure in all our actions and efforts to attain perfection.

The types of yoga
As a yoga class is comprised of various types, such as Raja Yoga, Karma Yoga, Bhakti Yoga, Hatha Yoga, Kundalini Yoga, Jnana Yoga, Mantra Yoga and Laya Yoga, etc. Each variant has a special instrument to physical, mental, emotional and psychological disciplines and methods , intended to transport the aspirants to the higher realms of consciousness, the existence and perfection. Yoga as a unification of the individual soul with the Paramatma is the end, and yoga as a method of discipline and practice is also the means to achieve this highest purpose of human existence.

The size of the Indian spiritual tradition - it is seen as a tradition of Sanatan Dharma - is based on the fact that it accepts all aspects of life and abilities of the person as they are all for individual growth, in favor of harmony and fulfillment can be used. The tradition deals with the "four goals" of life - artha, kama, dharma and moksha.

Artha and Kama, the physical, biological and emotional needs, therefore, are not vulgar or dirty, but form the first stages of the spiritual ladder. To ascend on the spiritual path to higher levels, one must first meet the basic needs because they carry the life of every person has a great influence. However, should the sense of the respective rights and obligations of all such efforts are in the background.

Even the human life process was divided into four stages or ashramas, namely brahmacharya (life of the child, pupil, student), grihashta (Life of 'householder'), vanaprashta (retired life for the purpose of contemplation) and sannyasa (renunciation of life, alone devoted to the spiritual realization). In this way, every single aspect of life was observed and fully integrated.

In addition, characterized the numerous spiritual traditions and methods of practice by a sound logic, and offer a very practical approach to life. Every individual has a singular character and temperament respective stands on specific developmental stage, and shows an appropriate level of understanding. Just as a single medicine, the various diseases afflicting humanity can not heal, can be a single yogic technique does not apply at all spiritual aspirants.

Therefore developed a large number of yoga techniques and traditions. Treated, for example, Hatha Yoga involves the body as a "clay pot" that was not fertiggebrannt by the potter, but physical, sensory, mental, emotional, intellectual and egocentric systems. Similar to the unfired clay pot in the first heat and fire to burn must require the psycho-physiological nature of a man of "burning" in the fire of yoga, so that it can develop themselves spiritually.

The hatha yoga tradition, therefore, is based on body-related method. The body is the medium that requires for example cleaning and reinforcement through shatkarmas and asana, the lightness, freedom from illness and patience through the practice of pranayama and pratyahara, the stability of mind and emotions through the practice of mudras, and bandhas dharana. Only under such conditions, the higher achievement - thanks to the acquired balance between solar and lunar energies in the body - is possible.

The philosophy of yoga
The philosophy behind yoga is generally coincides with that of the real Raja Yoga and is based on the Yoga Sutras of Maharshi Patanjali. Together with the Sankhya philosophy of Raja Yoga is an eternal, omnipresent, plotless Prakriti principle (manifested and non-manifested in nature) and a variety of ubiquitous consciousness Purusas (monads of pure consciousness). Yoga accepts another, a third principle, namely) Ishvara (God. The contact between Purusha (s) and Prakriti latter can manifest their multiple effects. The Purusha experiences - thanks aviveka (lack of distinction) - that he is an individual person, because he identifies with prakriti and its various modes.

Raja Yoga is now offering a way out of this Purusha, the concatenation. Therefore, it is also this yoga as a practical path to liberation rather than as a philosophical excursion into the realms of the spirit. He treats the so-called eightfold path, the "eight limbs" are scientifically described this as the natural steps of the ladder, which makes the people come from his human to the true divine nature. The coarse and fine ties that will bind to Prakriti Purusha intersected.

After all the bonds have fallen enjoys the liberated purusha its independence (kaivalya or moksha). This is the goal of Raja Yoga. The "eight limbs" will be briefly presented:
The 8 limbs of Raja Yoga

Yama: In the form of ahimsa (nonviolence), satya (truthfulness), Asteya () non-stealing, Brahmacharya (living in harmony with the higher consciousness) and Aparigraha (is) without possessiveness yama, the social code of conduct, the acts against fellow human beings controls.

Niyama:) By shaucha (cleanliness and purity, Santosha (contentment), tapas () voluntary privation, want) Svadhyaya (analysis of the self, understanding one's own nature) and Ishvara Pranidhana (Selbstergebung before God, discipline, culture of the self, nature , strong will and faith in God to be developed.

Asana: Asana positions intended reasonable, balanced and harmonious functioning of bodily organs and systems under all conditions. They also help eliminate the gross energy blockages and to perceive the subtle aspects of the body. In the form of meditation asana position forms the basis for the grandiose building of the Antaranga sadhana (the inward disciplines of Dharana, dhyana and samadhi).

Pranayama breathing technique and reorganized This harmonizes the body's energy by cleaning the energy channels and the obstacles is removed, then the whole system energized and to exercise adequate control over the subtle pranic body-helps. It is this control allows the control of desires and the Vrittis (shapes and forms of the mind and the imagination), the chains of Prakriti Purusha.

Pratyahara: This technique shows us how we should withdraw the senses from sense objects. A retreat, which clarifies the perception of the inner world of the spiritual dimension of emotions and the psyche and intensified.

Dhyana: Will dharana a continuous and uninterrupted process and the perception does not differ more from their point of concentration, it is called dhyana or meditation. It brings the aspirant closer to his inner being - the source of peace, joy, knowledge and wisdom.

Samadhi: The dissolution of mind, intellect and ego in the cosmic consciousness in which peace, happiness, harmony and light will ever know - this is samadhi. Here Purusha experiences its own true nature, the transcendent state of absolute independence and freedom (kaivalya).

Patanjali's Yoga, the building was built not on preconceived notions or axioms. He merely laid down the fundamental principles that are applicable for every practitioner, regardless of his religion or his faith. On rope verifiable experience, the practitioner, step by step to the destination. The practical applicability of this yoga is universal.

Mantra Yoga
The science of Manta and Yantra Yoga deals with the concepts of consciousness and energy in terms of sound vibration and the symbolic representation of this vibration. A mantra helps divine energy that manifests itself in a sound pattern. A yantra containing the divine energy that is reflected in a visible geometric shape. Both help to erase the negative gradually Samskaras (deep-rooted impressions from past lives) and engraved in the subconscious archetypes.

These two form of yoga to harmonize the intellectual, emotional and psychological systems of the personality, to redeem in the course of the absent-mindedness, instability and turbulence of the mind and the mind. Thus the potential energy is brought in people from their latency (concealment).

Bhakti Yoga
The science of Bhakti Yoga is suitable for people with devotional tendencies and abilities. It helps to remove emotional blockages and impurities, leads to higher-yielding and I believed in a reality. Reine, ecstatic bhakti is probably the highest level in the spiritual life of a man.

Karma Yoga
Karma Yoga is the path of service is free of selfish motives, but carried by the sense of individual duty. The ideal of the Bhagavad Gita can be in the form of two terms express summarily karma and yoga. Krishna consistently throughout the Gita sets with precise and forceful words, the core principles of karma yoga dar. He praises the high duty of man, selfless work, I run-lose actions without waiting for the "fruits" of the work.

The secret of Karma Yoga is the development of skill and perfection in action. The magic formula to be learned, if you live in an active spiritual community, after which they can easily apply it in everyday life. In fact, it may be far smoother and richer motivation to work selflessly for others, as selfish for themselves

This shows the difference between "karma" and "Karma Yoga". It creates karma, if you have yourself in mind - and when their own wishes or conflicts are the drivers for action. If you work but not for themselves, ie, in favor of the ego, but presents his action as a service and a gift of other people, then the mind is free and one can experience the benefits of Karma Yoga.

Kundalini Yoga
The science of Kundalini and Kriya yoga aims to awaken the latent energy of the cosmic man. Is she awakens, it recognizes and understands the mysteries of human nature and the universe. All the exquisite experience of spiritual life are caused by the Kundalini energy.

Of course there are many other classes and types of yoga with their respective characteristics. But rather than list it seems to me important to make more and more people are familiar with the beneficial effects of yoga. You should choose a few techniques that you can practice each day, then you should try to exercise it unilaterally, but balanced so that the demand is supported by the different personal abilities and growth (and space) development.

It is gaining the impression that yoga is one in future for the heritage of each nation. It is increasingly accepted in all sectors of society, whether in education, medical sciences, in prisons, sports, military, hospitals, during space flights, in psychiatric hospitals or in commercial and industrial groups. Again, the time has come for humanity to claim their authority in the realm of the great spiritual yoga tradition.

Meditation and Brain Research

Meditation has always been a central spiritual discipline. Whether it's the Buddha under the Bodhi tree, Shiva in the lotus position, or be it the desert fathers of early Christianity: All the great spiritual traditions consider meditation as a powerful tool on the path to enlightenment, Gottverwirklichtung, nirvana, satori, Unio Mystica, or whatever you give the pinnacle of spiritual perfection may seem. In addition to meditation, spiritual direction also has an appreciable wellness potential. Then have mainly focused Western meditation teachers and meditation closely associated with relaxation and health issues.

In the past two decades, then began to seriously turn to the modern science of meditation. Initially there were doctors who were mainly the positive effects of meditation on health explored. Thus, among other studies show that meditation lowers blood pressure, relieves symptoms of stress, the immune system improves and offers help with insomnia and chronic pain.

Following a rather hesitant approach, there is now a significantly increased interest in science of meditation, which is also reflected in a growing number of relevant publications. While careful researchers in the past, fearful for her reputation before had to deal with meditation, is the ancient art of mind control and transcendence is now almost become hip and is not dismissed much more than esoteric and New Age.

The foundations for the meditation research have laid pioneers such as Harvard's Dr. Benson ( "Relaxation Response") and Jon Kabat-Zinn. More recently, however, were mainly neurologists such as Richard Davidson and Sara Lazar, marching with their studies, the attention of the scientific community and the public's. Using the latest scientific tools such as the measurement of regional cerebral blood flow (rCBF), magnetic resonance imaging (MRI), the magnetoencephalography (MEG) and the improved electroencephalography (EEG), brain researchers and neurologists are in a position to the effect of meditation on to understand the human brain. They were thus able to prove scientifically sound, that meditation not only the way the brain works, fundamentally changed, but that its effects extend into the physical structure of the brain.

The studies
1 Meditation optimizes the functioning of the brain
Researchers at the University of Wisconsin discovered in a study with Tibetan monks that a trained through meditation brain works differently than the untrained. Has worked with the Tibetan Buddhist meditation on unconditional compassion. Richard Davidson, a neurologist at the Institute for Functional Brain Imaging at the University of Wisconsin believes that the results can glimpse a hitherto unimagined potential of the human brain. The study found, among other things following results:

People with a long meditation practice during meditation show a higher frequency of gamma waves (gamma waves are brain waves associated with higher mental activity, higher concentration and learning are brought together)

The gamma wave frequency was already above average before the monks began to meditate. This suggests that the effect of meditation on brain waves is permanent and not limited to the period of meditation.
The brains of the monks of this study had compared to the same group without previous meditation practice more and unusually strong gamma waves.
The intensity of gamma waves corresponded roughly to the length of personal meditation practice. Some of the most experienced monks showed the strongest gamma waves on that have ever been detected in a human brain. In the control group without previous meditation practice, the increase in gamma waves during meditation was only slight.
The human mind can be trained through meditation. Meditative training alters the brain and increases its capacity for consciousness, happiness and compassion.

2 Meditation increases brain
In another study by Sara Lazar, a psychologist at Harvard Medical School, was also the brains of meditators compared with a control group with no meditation experience. The meditation technique used here was a Buddhist mindfulness meditation, body and works with the senses. Perceptions that arise in consciousness, to be registered there without thinking about it, otherwise, the attention rests on the breath.

With this study have shown that meditation not only changes the structure of the brain, but even enlarged. More specifically, regular meditation increases the thickness of the brain areas involved with cognition, the processing of emotions and well-being. These areas of the cerebral cortex (cortex) are generally thinner with age. Meditation seems just as comfortable as effective means of retarding the aging process and reverse the brain (some of the negative effects of aging as decline in memory and cognitive performance).

The results of this study agree with other studies, where it was shown that certain brain areas to grow through practice. To have a thicker musicians 'music area', dancers and athletes thickened "motor areas" and so on. The amazing story of Sara Lazar's study is that a purely mental, internal activity such as meditation has the same effect as an external, physical activities, such as learning a musical instrument, a sport or a language. For the brain, the imagination and consciousness work of meditation is as real as "real" experiences.

Conclusions
Meditation works! A correctly and seriously practiced meditation practice has many positive effects on our mind and our health. They even change the structure of the brain and lays the foundation for the experience of higher states of consciousness.

The effects of meditation can be visualized and verified by scientific means. The subjective experience of the meditator can thus be objectified.
The methods of modern brain research could be used to objectively assess how a person advanced in his meditation practice.

Neurology practitioners could provide evidence of whether one's own meditation practice is successful or needs to be corrected. With its variety of methods they could both give detailed feedback as well be an important source of motivation.
As the spiritually developed mind is fundamentally different from the unenlightened, uneducated mind (for example, because different) higher states of consciousness, a very special, distinctive brain wave patterns to create the methods could be used in neuroscience to themselves and enlightened alien named on the degree of illumination tested. This could help spiritual seekers to distinguish truly highly realized masters of false gurus, and money-hungry swindlers.
Meditation can be systematically used as a physical and psychological therapy.

Brain researchers and physicians are already examined in a position to describe the specific effects of different meditation techniques, and this in turn associated with specific clinical symptoms. This could, in principle, for many diseases are matching meditation technique discovered and prescribed. (What, however, would be nothing new, for Ayurvedic physicians have always been treated with meditation or mantras). This would of modern medicine and psychotherapy not only open up entirely new ways, but would also be a paradigm shift - from a predominantly drug-oriented, materialistic perspective towards a more holistic, more spiritual approach, but at the same scientific basis and would be accounted for. In any case, meditation is likely to play a central role in bringing some of the negative aspects of modern life (such as stress combined with lack of exercise, overstimulation of the senses and the mind through hustle and electronic media to counter).

The potential of the human spirit
Despite the amazing findings of quantum physics, modern thinking is still dominated by the materialistic paradigm, which considers matter and mind as completely separate entities. The described scientific studies of meditation, however, suggest that this paradigm does not reflect the realities of brain and mind. The human mind affects the brain as the brain, the mind. The latter is apparent in brain injury and changes in brain chemistry through drugs, the former had not yet been demonstrated. But the brain research now shows that our way of thinking changes the physical structure of the brain.

Materialism sees the human mind as a product of matter - such feelings as the mere result of chemical processes in the brain or mind as a result of electrical impulses. Yoga and spirituality, considered on the other side, coagulated matter as spirit and the human spirit as the Lord of the brain, not his successor. The neurosciences can help bridge the gap between these two polar views of the world and bring the best of both approaches to the application. Thus, the modern brain research to show how spiritual practice shapes the brain and altered, but also just how important it is to recognize the importance of the brain as the material basis of mind.

Above all, studies such as this, however, show one thing: The human mind has an almost infinite potential. Through spiritual practice like meditation, we can begin to awaken the slumbering potential of our mind. By training our brain through meditation, we can form little by little into a vessel for the enlightened mind.

Spiritual Activism

If activism is meant the kind of action which is focused on socio-cultural changes, then spirituller activism such action is required of the spiritual values, principles and objectives of inclusive perspective. But what is meant by "spiritual"? Here the matter is more complicated.

Sometimes the answer will depend on the particular philosophical and religious backgrounds. Thus, a practicing Christian will probably respond differently than a practicing Buddhist. My own answer, described below, aiming at a more general formulation, although it is most inspired by the highly developed tradition of Vajrayana Buddhism.

Outside of the Christian religious context in which it was formed, the term "spiritual" is used tend to be undifferentiated and ambiguous. Linguistically and historically, it refers to "spirit," which stands for "higher," transcendental "aspect of man. This approach is problematic and is by many thinkers, including some Christian theologians who have been rejected. In this light, I suggest that "spiritual" here in the sense of "self-transcending use" too. This captures the kind of guidance and current practice, which aims to go beyond the egoistic and even more profoundly, about the idea of the ego itself Instead, they prefer a state of consciousness of themselves as deeply connected to the rest of the world experienced.

Thus, the use of the term "spiritual" a concession to ordinary language, but without the rigor mortis, which is often related to the word "spirit" associated. Spiritual Activism is therefore an activism that combines the theory and practice in order to fulfill our greater human potential, in particular our capacity for self-transcendence, whatever our orientation specific religious or philosophical.

Thus spiritual activism is authentic, it must be grounded in mindfulness and reverence for life as an indispensable, but have voluntarily disciplines. Without adequate cultivation of these practices is spiritual activism inclined to be merely conventional activism that is often driven by unconscious motives and less desirable emotions associated with the ideals and goals have not given much to do.

Mindfulness allows a spiritual activists to consider the forces that have shaped his character and his life, and between them and their cultural ideals and activist aims to be distinguished. For example, if anger and environmental destruction are present, is a spiritual activist, his feelings of anger do not allow to color his actions. Rather, everything he undertakes, be tempered by his reverence for life is good. He will use the raw energy of anger to initiate positive actions, that plan activities that well-intentioned change. He is careful to neutralize the target of his anger, it was a single individual, group, or "the system". There are traditional methods to achieve these neutralizing them, but they require a strong commitment to treat all life with reverence.

In addition to controlling his negative emotions is a spiritual activist, continuously researching the foundations for his transformational behavior. In other words, he uses an extreme sense of responsibility in making decisions and decisions to ensure that his activism has no undesirable consequences that put the welfare of others at risk. Actions that might be described as "eco-called terrorism," for example, typically involve harming others intentionally or unintentionally (due to lack of foresight) to do good to a group of third parties. Reverence for life, however, requires extreme caution to ensure that the desired actions take an unsolicited result and no side to him.

Would it responsibly, for example, burst a dam, so the salmon can swim upstream unimpeded, even if this action would be killed by numerous other creatures? Most people would probably refuse, as a person would accidentally killed. Would such a drastic action, however justified if it would save the survival of an entire species? Perhaps if all were known factors involved in the situation and could be clearly understood. Undoubtedly, different spiritual activists were to set different borders.

In any case, they would put immense care in their actions and always been inspired by the ideal of reverence for life.
For a spiritual activists, all life is precious, not just the human one. At the same time he realizes that life will get through life. This means that most life forms to survive, must consume other life forms. But this is not a license to kill or reckless in life out of sheer carelessness or disregard for trampling. At this point, the strict morality of non-infringement, as it is practiced in Jainism, exemplary, although perhaps in the context of contemporary life not fully apply. Maybe can the ethics of Buddhism - although also provide rigorous - a more satisfactory model for the practical everyday happenings of our modern era.

In this short article is not about me, about offering specific legislation, but more concerned to outline the basic principles of spiritual activism. I am inclined to believe that - just like any other person dependent on the compass of spiritual activists from the level of his moral development. A fully realized Bodhisattva, who is irrevocably committed to the extinction of suffering of all beings, by them to the great realization of enlightenment (perfect Egotranszendenz results), behaves differently, with some probability, as it were a greenhorn, who was still struggling with his conscience and negative emotions .

Accordingly, one can assume that spiritual activism for one and the same situation more than just a single possible reaction willing to stop. From the perspective of Buddhism is only a fully awake person in a position to act in a fully responsible and effective manner. All others can not avoid, to a certain degree of sleepwalking, and thus commit more or less serious errors in moral judgments. This sobering perspective should make us modesty and moderation would teach, as well as the will to grow, in terms of wisdom and compassion.

While we ourselves are changing towards a stronger self-transcendence - finding expression in mindfulness, reverence for life and active compassion for all beings - we are increasingly able to change this world for the better.

Works wonders when you are exhausted

It is known that yoga helps reduce stress and fatigue. But how often do we feel so ausgepowert that the very thought of gentle stretching, or stretching is too demanding? In those situations, dependent on the personal energy balance always grab more people now in the West Ashwagandha, an ancient ayurvedic preparation that is often referred to as "Indian ginseng".
Ashwagandha, in German, "Winter Cherry" provides not only energy and a rejuvenating boost, but also distinguishes itself by its calming, relaxing effect. The chemical constituents of Ashwagandha are indeed similar to those of ginseng, but studies show a clear superiority of Ashwagandha in stress reduction. Ayurvedic practitioners recommend Ashwagandha long with physical or mental exhaustion.

Recent scientific studies have confirmed this effect. One study came to the conclusion that Ashwagandha prevents stress-related stomach ulcers and vitamin C deficiency, also increases the energy and endurance in stressful situations. The explanation of the positive effects of Ashwagandha lies in its adaptability promotional quality. So it helps the body more flexible and better able to respond to changing conditions, which is particularly conducive to the muscles.

According to ayurvedic medicine Ashwagandha should strengthen as the heart muscles and increase its elasticity, it is also favorable for uterine and menstrual disorders) (menstrual cramps, contribute.

However, the efficiency of Ashwagandha go even further should be. In the West, enjoys growing Ashwagandha a reputation as an aphrodisiac. In a recent study, 70% of participating men reported increased libido and sexual function after Ashwagandha resource. However, there are at this wonderful plant remedies are a few limitations.

Namely, it increases the quality of heat known as pitta in the head and heart, which may adversely affect the body and emotions. Ashwagandha Ayurvedic doctors recommend, therefore, in combination with cooling agents, such as liquorice, or to take in combination with cooling foods or beverages, such as ghee, raw cane sugar, milk and rice.
